ASCD Poll: Getting Involved in ASCD
In the ASCD Poll, we asked you to tell us how you are involved in ASCD. If you haven't taken the poll yet, please vote now.
- What other ways are you involved in ASCD?
- How has your involvement helped you and your students succeed?
- If you haven't gotten involved in ASCD, why not? What other resources and services might we offer to help you make a difference for your students?

To Whom It May Concern,
I am a Detroit Public School teacher who teaches Mathematics in middle school. I am trying to implement more technology in my instruction. I need (16)Texas Instrument-73 graphing calculators. These calculators seem to only available on the internet and cost about $70 each. The school system may not be able to get them for me due to a possible lack of funds. If you have access to those that donate for situations such as this or can assist in any way, email me ASAP.
Thank You,

I would like Governor Bush and his appointed state "education leaders" to admit their repeated illegal voucher programs are designed to mainly help the children of upper income families reduce their tuition bills. The Governor claims they are trying to help "children trapped in failing public schools". If that is the truth, prove it by testing the private schools with the same tests all Florida Public Schools must take; and give vouchers "only" to students from low socoi-economic levels. If these two policies are followed the voucher advocates can claim the moral high ground.Right now they are pomoting private education as "separate and better".Let's help our children by giving all of them the "best public education possible"a.k.a.more resources. The" best public education possible" is already in the state constitution, why do we need vouchers for private school flight?
