EdBlog Watch: Forum for Ed. & Democracy

We love group blogs because they often focus on a specific topic or theme and bring together a number of knowledgeable professionals to share their unique perspectives. They're almost like the Web 2.0 version of an expert roundtable.

The Forum for Education and Democracy's group blog is a great example. Focusing on democracy and public education, blog posts tackle issues like the achievement gap, No Child Left Behind, school governance, and presidential politics. Contributors—or "conveners" as they're called on the blog—include ASCD authors Carl Glickman and Linda Darling-Hammond, well-known personalities like Deborah Meier, and various other accomplished educators. The experts reference each other's work, toss around ideas, and share upcoming papers.

Ok, that's great and all, except they don't even have a RSS feed. Kind of hard to gain a substantial readership without a feed. Seems a little 20th century to me.
