You can get a preview of what they will be presenting at their "Purposeful Planning for Multilingual Classrooms" session by listening to this speaker spotlight. The Himmele's talk about overcoming language barriers, testing challenges, the worsening achievement gap, and what works best to improve English language learning.

Persida and William Himmele are the authors of the upcoming book "The Language-Rich Classroom: A Research-Based Framework for Teaching English Language Learners."
